According to the National Education Association, November 11-17 is American Education Week. If you'd like to do something special for your child's teacher to make this occasion, I suggest having your son or daughter fold an Origami pencil to decorate a handmade card thanking the teacher for all the work he or she does throughout the year. If your budget allows it, I know many teachers appreciate small gift cards to bookstores or places that they can go to purchase extra supplies for their classroom. About Origami has a tutorial for an origami gift card envelope that you could use to package your card in a memorable way.
Do you have any teacher appreciation gift ideas that you would like to share?
