Origami Gift Box

Do you pass out cookies, fudge, or other homemade sweets during the holiday season? This year, I'm planning to make an assortment of truffles. I've found several great recipes on Pinterest, including candy cane truffles, sugar cookie truffles, and dark chocolate peanut butter truffles.

Since packaging is a vital part of any handmade gift, I'm planning on giving my truffles in origami boxes lined with wax paper. I love the idea of disposable packaging for homemade goodies so the recipient doesn't get stuck worrying about returning your plate.

Another great origami project that is helpful when you're passing out holiday treats is the origami cone. My favorite snack for the origami cone is the combination of Cheerios, Rice Chex, Wheat Chex, pretzel sticks, M&M's, and white chocolate that is often referred to as "Christmas Crack" in honor of its highly addictive nature.

What are your favorite Christmas treats to make and how do you like to package your goodies?
