Origami 101

If your New Year's resolution was to learn origami, I encourage you to pick up a copy of Origami 101: Master Basic Skills and Techniques Easily through Step-by-Step Instruction. This great book by Benjamin John Coleman guides you through folding several different models, showing how many different projects can be made from the same basic base forms. The book also includes a DVD with video instructions and a selection of printable origami papers so you can add a layer of realism to your finished creations.

Another good resource for new paper folders is the free beginner e-course from About Origami. Sign up for the class to receive one new lesson per week.
