Origami Heart Lollipop

Valentine's Day has always been one of my favorite holidays. If you are looking for a quick and easy Valentine's Day origami idea, About Origami has instructions for Origami Heart Lollipop Covers that are perfect for sending to school with your child or to use as part of a candy bouquet for your sweetheart.

The covers featured in the article are made for store-bought lollipops, but you could try making your own candy if you're feeling really ambitious. About Candy has a Lollipop Recipe that can be customized to suit your own personal tastes. It requires common ingredients, but you do need to have a candy thermometer on hand to make sure the lollipop mixture reaches the appropriate temperature. The finished candy will keep for up to a month, so you can make a batch of lollipops a week or two before Valentine's Day and not have any problems.

If you're planning any fun Valentine's Day themed origami projects, I'd love to hear about them. Please send pictures and instruction links to origami@aboutguide.com.
